An increasing number of job hunters are requesting cosmetic dental treatments, in the hope of creating a better impression at interviews.
More and more people are using their redundancy payouts to fund confidence-boosting treatments in a bid to jump straight back on the career ladder.
A unique primary school campaign has been launched to encourage children in Greater Manchester to brush up on looking after their teeth.
Manor Dental Practice – based in Sale – kicked off its ‘Smile’ campaign at nearby St Joseph’s Roman Catholic School last week. Sixty foundation-level children were given a fun-packed lesson in how to brush and look after their teeth.
The Government has been accused of preventing dentists from offering NHS treatment, as the profession comes under fire for deserting the state system in favour of lucrative private practice.
Manchester-based dentist, Anjali Shahi, has urged local PCTs to release essential, ring-fenced Government funding that will enable private practitioners to return to the NHS.
